What is a pocket creature?
A felted friend for your pocket.
Create pocket creatures with artist Kim O'Brien.
In this workshop Kim will teach participants how to construct a simple shape that can be embellished into a creature of your liking. Her gentle and inclusive teaching style creates a safe place to play, explore and experiment with wool.
Participants gather while Kim illustrates needle felting techniques, including ways to sculpt with different color wool to create 3-D objects. Needle felting is done with a thin barbed needle and sheeps wool. Felting creation will be one of a kind and dictated by interest and aesthetics of the participants.
You don't need to bring anything except yourself.
All materials for the workshop are included!
